1. Changed the plot a bit to make it sounds more realistic
2. Dug more into the characters, made some necessary changes and gives characters their purpose
3. Decided the main character and the main message
4. Specified stage directions

Script Analysis Write Up

During last week while my group was writing the script, we were just writing down everything that we had in mind using our perspective on what would people say during an argument or a fight. Most of the time that all the script we came up with only makes sense when we read it right after we write them down, but after a day, when we go back and read it it does not make that much sense as we thought it might be. And this is one of the techniques to make sure that every line we wrote down can make sense in the play, just by saving the scripts and come back to read it again maybe after a day or two, to revise what we had wrote down. Another way that is kind of interesting for us to fix the script, is by actually acting it out. Because sometimes the script only make sense when it is being written down on the paper with no actual emotions in them. Author: Oscar Wilde Date: Nov. 1st Location: Cheshire Academy Black Box Theatre Director: Marc Aronson Actors: Krystal Charter, Tas Fox, Zoe Genden, Mao Inoue, Jiaxin Li, Shuting Liang, Yuanjun Luo, Amelia Williams, Huijin Zheng The Importance of Being Earnest starts off with two friends, Algernon, and Jack’s argument and conversation about double life and this man called Earnest. Jack fell in love with Algernon’s cousin Gwendolyn but his proposal was refused at the first time by her mother Lady Bracknell. Later on is the story between Algernon’s love with Jack’s ward Cecily. The conflict of the plot is when Algernon and Jack both uses the fake name “Earnest” and both ladies all fell in love with this name. Conflict breaks out when the ladies find out that their name isn’t Earnest but both couples were still in love with each other. Director's Vision

The musical that I picked is “ The Hunchback of Notre Dame ”. It was first introduced to me by my mother, she was listening to this for four weeks straight and she would play it in anywhere she wants, such as when she was driving or when she was cooking. That is also the very first time I actually listened to a musical production. It is quite fascinating to see the production, although it was in bad quality, but the songs and how actors act on stage is ironed in my mind. When I was watching the play with my mother, I cannot understand a thing from the play since it was french and there were no subs at all. I read the storyline like a year later after I watch the play and I rewatch it. There is this conflict of who is the main character of the play, who is the main character and who is actually the main character.
